Chris Ezekiel

Founder & CEO

Creative Virtual Ltd

Chris Ezekiel has a technical, sales and marketing background. He has been working in the world of virtual assistants since 2000 and founded Creative Virtual in November 2003. Prior to this, Chris worked for a US software company in various roles (starting as a Software Engineer, then as R&D manager and then as Sales & Marketing Director). Employing his technical and entrepreneurial skills, and through the development of the enterprise level V-Person™ technology, he has established Creative Virtual as one of the world's leading providers of virtual assistants. He has a passion for creativity, innovation, technology and physics (now you know why Creative Virtual’s V-Person is called Quark!), and in his spare time enjoys skiing and snowboarding, and watching his beloved West Ham (where his optimistic nature is sometimes stretched to the limit!).

Peter Behrend

Chief Technical Officer

Creative Virtual Ltd

Always an early adopter, Peter Behrend cut his technical teeth writing 6502 machine code on the original UK101 kit computer with its massive 3k of RAM, and has been trying to stay ahead of the game ever since.  A product of the Universities of Manchester and Wales, and having worked initially for many years in Library Automation Systems, Peter became involved with Natural Language Processing systems in 2000, and having survived the dot com bubble joined Creative Virtual shortly after its inception in August 2004. Since that time he has led an ever-expanding international technical team and driven the development effort which has seen Creative Virtual emerge as one of the leading suppliers of web-based AI solutions in the world. When not tethered to a piece of technology, he likes to find time for a game of squash, a bit of DIY, or simply exploring the countryside with his camera.

 

Rachel F Freeman

Head of Operations

Creative Virtual Ltd

Rachel Freeman has been in and out of the Natural Language Processing field since 2000 and started building virtual assistants in NYC. She joined Creative Virtual in 2005 as a Knowledgebase Engineer, and then whilst also writing for travel guidebooks, she acted as a consultant and Project Manager for the company. Rachel took the position of Head of Operations in June 2010. She received her BA in English Literature from Skidmore College. Based on her time in the Hebrides whilst studying for her MLitt degree in Ethnography and Geography (University of Edinburgh), Rachel believes she may be the only native New Yorker who knows how to shear sheep with manual sheers and build a cruach (peat stack)! She spends her spare time with family and friends or singing bass with the Sweet Adeline’s women’s barbershop UK Gold Medal Champions Forth Valley Chorus.

Richard Simons

CEO

Creative Virtual USA

Originally from the UK, Richard Simons established the business for Creative Virtual in the United States of America, signing clients such as Verizon, Intuit and CA Technologies. Richard has been in the information technology and computer software industry for over 20 years. Prior to his six years currently at Creative Virtual, he spent six years as Chief of Operations for MBG Expense Management, which provides leading outsourced and on-demand telecom and IT expense management solutions. Prior to that, he was VP Sales at Systems Union, now part of Infor, for 10 years.  He studied Chemistry and Management at Queen Elizabeth College in London and exited early to start his entrepreneurial career. Richard is married with two children and currently resides in Old Greenwich, Connecticut. He is a skilled sailor, and enjoys being out on the water in his free time.

 

Erik Braun

Director

Creative Virtual Benelux

Erik Braun heads the Benelux operations of Creative Virtual based in Amsterdam, Netherlands. Before joining Creative Virtual, Erik spent his career in management consulting at Van de Bunt, the oldest Dutch management consulting company. In that company, he mainly worked for public sector companies, utilities and the building sector. He is intrigued by the opportunities to use new technologies in various channels for high quality client contact. Erik lives with Victoria and their son Boris on one of the canals in Amsterdam. He likes to run the Vondelpark and aims to do so in less than 15 minutes.

 

Patrick Gallagher

Managing Director

Creative Virtual Australia & New Zealand

Patrick Gallagher heads the Australian, New Zealand and Northern Asia Operations for Creative Virtual. Before joining Creative Virtual, Patrick was APAC Managing Director for Enghouse, a global leader in Contact Centre and Unified Communication software. During his 13 years with Enghouse, he was responsible for key business units including software development, project delivery and customer support. In 2006 Patrick returned to Australia as Managing Director in order to establish the APAC presence and develop new market opportunities in APAC. Patrick has over 30 years’ experience in Contact Centres, IVR and Customer Experience applications. He is married with two young children and currently resides on the Lower North Shore of Sydney. He is a graduate of the University of Sydney and continues to be active in the IT and Telecommunications industry in Asia.
