What happens before the answer?

Type in a question and before you know it the answer appears. But hundreds of decisions and actions have been made before it appears.

  1. Figure out the user ‘s intent and understand what they want, which will guide the workflow and determine the output.

  6. Determine context by bringing together everything gathered, i.e. user message, conversation history, customer database, retrieved documents, memory items, tool inputs, safety and security instructions, system instructions, to generate the relevant personalised response.
  7. Assemble multiple possible answers, then rank and select answer for final response based on accuracy, relevancy, safety, user satisfaction.
  8. Generate the response optimised for accuracy, helpfulness, conciseness, tone, and safety.
  9. Perform final quality control with response validation, including fact checking, citation verifications, format validation, safety review. 
  10. Answer given to the user.
